Emma Starrs

Emma Starrs

Emma has lived in the Bury borough for over 20 years and raised her three children here.

Living for a time in Holcombe Brook, Greenmount, and now the centre of Bury, she loves the community, the quirky goings-on and the businesses making all six towns thrive.

Emma studied English Literature at Durham University before building a PR career telling the stories of local businesses and inspiring people since 2007. Highlights include helping launch the first Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival, including judging a Ferrero Rocher-eating Guinness World Record attempt that brought TV cameras to town.

Emma doesn't do sitting still. She has boxed at a ladies' boxfit class for four years, and has won trophies for axe throwing and paintball too. She also paints, draws and loves a good craft, which comes in handy when she's rummaging for ideas for the What's On guide on the breakfast show.

Bringing energy, enthusiasm and plenty of joie de vivre to Drive Time, Emma is thrilled to be bringing a bit of Starrs’ sparkle to your journey home.
