Rory O'Rourke

Born in Teesside, 1 of 5 kids. Went to University of Bradford and studied Civil Engineering. I worked for Network Rail in Manchester and Derby for 10 years before setting up my own company in 1999. Basing myself in Bury I expanding my group of companies and sold up after 20 years.

I now build zero carbon houses and renovate old properties giving them a new lease of life.

I've always written technically as part of my career, I started writing fiction in 2020 and published my first novel, Memories Cant Wait, in 2024 followed by my second One Way Or Another in 2026.

Reading and writing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.

My heart is now firmly in the north west living in Edgworth with my wife Tammie and daughter Scarlett.
